Proposed Major Edit

[edit]
Greetings....to anyone who is following this Wiki entry. I'd like to solicit input on a major revision to the article. There have been a series of papers published in the last year which I think should be included. They would include Unaiza Parkar's work showing zoonotic transmission; Dr. Suresh Kumar's lab work on genetics/behavior of isolates from symptomatic vs. asymptomatic carriers; Dr. Rune Stensvold's paper from Denmark; plus Dr. Omar Amin's research from the US (lists symptoms on 800+ Blastocystis patients).
The other change I'd like to propose is making the article look more like some of the other entries for infectious diseases, like Toxoplasmosis or Malaria. This would involve including the little box with the diagnosis code, genus, etc. on the page. Also, I'd like to propose switching the reference style to the auto-formatted type which is used in the other medical articles. The reason being that as more references are added, it will take more time to maintain the reference list at the bottom. Also, I believe that feature puts in PUBMED links automatically, which is a nice feature for medical articles.
Comments welcome.
