Career Start Date

[edit]

The first part of the Career section needs attention. It suggests that he got a recording contract at the age of 17, but according to his birth date, his first album came out when he was 25. It seems unlikely that it took him 8 years to record the first album. See also [1], which would suggest otherwise.--Camulod 01:59, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have the same Birthday as Blake Shelton 2001:5B0:49D6:5A48:1CD8:A593:7CEC:9446 (talk) 15:11, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Executive Producer

[edit]

Do we want to include that <<Blake Shelton has executive produced three movies for Hallmark and this will be his fourth one. His first three are “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas” (2018), “Time for You to Come Home for Christmas” (2019), and “Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas” (2020.)>> (Heavy.com, Google had other links too.)

Homophobia Allegations

[edit]

The recent allegations and media coverage are relevant, for a period of a few months at least, and removal of entire chunks should really be backed by discussion comments. Depending on the narrative arc of the story, it's unlikely to be there long-term. Marty jar (talk) 11:50, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

N.B. AGAIN can people follow basic Wikipedia guidelines by using the Discussion Section should there be any dispute in which you're removing large sections of text. Next single

[edit]

On Blake's main YouTube/Vevo account, in the description it says "Blake Shelton's new song 'Savior's Shadow' from his upcoming album, If I'm Honest."[1] It impacted Christian radio on April 12, 2016, according to AllAccess, but I cannot get a proper reference due to the CCM division of AllAccess not showing future releases for singles, and I cannot archive the Cool New Music section due to the Wayback Machine's saying my AllAccess account is disabled. ilovemusic (Talk To Me!) 15:32, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Country in lead

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived record of a request for comment. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
Unanimous for including country. There is opposition to "singer-songwriter" (with no one clearly defending it). That precise wording after "country" can be decided through discussion. Galobtter (pingó mió) 16:04, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Should the lead say "country singer-songwriter" or just "singer-songwriter"? A discussion on MOS:BLP has ruled that whether or not to include genre in the lead should be decided on a case by case situation. JDDJS (talk) 22:02, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion above is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

How could the real Blake Shelton be married?

[edit]

The real Blake Shelton has been married to the real Christina Aguilera since February 2,1994 in North Carolina! She was kidnapped in between the private ceremony and the public ceremony along with her Father and one of her brothers! 2600:6C4A:4E7F:F5DA:651A:A117:5462:BED6 (talk) 01:39, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 23 October 2023

[edit]

The first sentence of the second paragraph under the section 2011–2012: The Voice and Red River Blue states "Blake Shelton is a coach on the NBC show The Voice." I propose amending the verb in the sentence to past tense, changing the sentence to "Blake Shelton was a coach on the NBC show The Voice." He ended his tenure as a coach on The Voice following the 23rd season, ending spring 2023.
