[edit]I'd like to get a redirect to Black and White Ball from the search "Party of the Century" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.12.113.84 (talk) 00:30, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Kindly help to add a citation
[edit]Please help me add a reference to support the new information about Arlene Francis' wearing of her mask from the ball on What's My Line. This info is supported in the YouTube episode airing 6 days after the ball. The generic nature of "black and white" balls
[edit]The concept of the "black and white ball" goes way back. This is what I discovered trawling early 20th century newspapers. A 1915 paper says that the first one "was given in Paris for the war sufferers." The item says of attire, "the combination of black and white may be expressed in any way that the wearer chooses..."
Should that history be addressed in the entry or should a new page be created? I subscribe to a newspaper database, so I can supply data, but I'm not that interested in doing any writing. Cpacker666 (talk) 23:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
