Talk:Black Russian Terrier
Move article to Black Russian Terrier?
[edit]The KC is the only kc to call it the Russian Black Terrier; the AKC, NZKC, UKC, ANKC all call it Black Russian Terrier; The FCI prefers Tchiorny Terrier or Black Terrier & doesn't even use "Russian" in ANY variants of the name. Anyway, I think that this ought to go under Black Russian Terrier insted of here under Russian Black Terrier (also to correct in the List of dog breeds. Thoughts? Elf | Talk 21:15, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Add more
[edit]PLEASE ADD MORE TO THIS PAGE!!! I am inquisitive and intrigued, so naturally I want to know more. (unnamed) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:69.81.17.21 Alicia is the best(talk • contribs) .
- Articles are all done by people who drop in to wikipedia to help. If you'd like the article to say more, one way would be to research the breed and expand the article yourself. :-) Elf | Talk 07:31, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- I will be getting around to writing more on this (one of my favourite) breed soon. If you are "inquisitive and intrigued" than why not do some research on the breed for your own knowledge and expand the article with what you learn while your at it! Pharaoh Hound 18:56, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
2014 clean-up
[edit]I am going to try and tidy this article up a bit. What follows is my plan in case anyone wants to jump in or make suggestions.Jemmaca (talk) 14:15, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
1 - re-order the page. History to come first and references to be moved above external links. The former because I think the lead flows well into history plus this matches some other dog pages.
2 - Remove dead links
3 - Add in other club pages
4 - Format references using https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Template:Cite_web.
5 - Add more references Need more inline references, especially the history.
6 - Description Go through FCI and AKC standards making sure this section is up to date. Add in material on different coats.
7 - Add in grooming.
8 - Update the infobox
- Breed clubs etc should not be linked under 'External links', DMOZ should be used instead otherwise it has a tendency to become a linkfarm/directory. I have added a DMOZ link plus the standard HTML text and cleared some of them out. If breed clubs have a decent website, they are sometimes used as references. Any work you can do on the article will be appreciated - at a glance, I'd suggest using the {{convert}} template for the height/weight measurements given within the text.
