Expanding stub
[edit]Expanded on the organization's activities and political views and goals. First time editing and would greatly appreciate criticism and feedback. I am continuing to work on the article in sandbox and moving things over, and advice on structuring the article would be helpful as well. --LatakiaHill (talk) 17:53, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
I think the article itself is great. It is very clear and to the point. Is there possible additional information that you can add on the topic? I find the idea of Black Guns Matter to be very interesting. Is this group one that is primarily supported or does it lack support? Overall great job! Dannyryan33 (talk) 01:58, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback @Dannyryan33: I am planning on expanding the article, including info from articles on how the self-professed black conservative standpoint adds to the gun control debate. Including info on support for the group is also a great idea and I appreciate the suggestion. I'll look into it to see if there are any good sources. --LatakiaHill (talk) 02:26, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
Would love to see more on Toure's reasons for founding the group, and how those reasons are actualized today. For example, it's mentioned that Toure believes gun possession charges can be avoided, but I'm not seeing the why or how. I also agree with Dannyryan33 that more info in general would be helpful in developing this page. Could you add more on what actions the group has taken? VanillaPumpkin (talk) 13:52, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Those are some more good ideas on how to expand the article. I tried to directly quote opinions on stuff like avoiding gun charges and I avoided using other sources to justify them, which could be original research, but I'll dig deeper to see if Toure talks on it further. Thanks for the feedback! --LatakiaHill (talk) 16:56, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
