Steve Kara and István are the same person

[edit]

There is an individual or individuals working from remote IP's with no login name who is/are deleting the name Steve Kara and only leaving the name István in this article. I think it's extremely important that music fans accessing this article be aware that Steve Kara and István are one in the same. I offer here proof in the form of a MySpace email I received from Jay Dean, Electric Prunes guitarist and musical partner to Steve Kara:

The first recruitment for the BITCH included 2 gentlemen whose names escape me at the moment. I replaced the first guy who suffered some manner of injury and could not continue. When rehearsals commenced, it was apparent that the second man was not up to the task. At this point, I recommended Steven. His name, in Hungarian, is Istvan. He uses his proper name for BITCH for effect, I believe, although, that his how is auntie in Bupapest (whom I have met and had a lovely time with, Steve and I having traveled to the old country together via the fabulous Berlin-Prague-Budapest-Bucharest train excursion post our gig in Spain) and his fascinating mother refer to him. (his mom was tossing molotov cocktails at Russian tanks while she was pregnant with him.) So, know that Istvan is the current guitar wielder along side myself, and, the captain at the helm of the ensuing new BITCH release.

Cheers

Jay Dean

Bitch's current line-up is rightly referred to as an All-Star Lineup because the lineup is esentially a supergroup consisting of two of the original members (Betsy and Robby Settles), and three renowned musicians from other famous groups.

Bassist Steve Gaines was in the early speed metal band Abattior, who released an early classic in the genre called Vicious Attack that was featured in the 1985 PMRC Hearing alongside Bitch's Be My Slave LP. Gaines also appeared in the early Metal Blade signing Bloodlust, and currently fronts a successful thrash band called Anger As Art that features Angelo Espino of Hirax and Once Dead and some other members of Abattior.

Steve Kara and Jay Dean are the twin guitar players of the legendary garage/psych/60's punk band The Electric Prunes, and both have extensive credits reaching back over thirty years. As per Kara's bio in the Electric Prunes website (www.electricprunes.net), Kara has performed with Bryan McClean of Love, and has an extensive history working with Pat Boone, Debby Boone, and with Jesus rock musicians like Larry Norman and Randy Stonehill. Kara played on the final Timothy Leary album which was released in 1996 six weeks after his death, and apprears on an all-star album produced by Calvary Chapel that features Bernie Leadon of The Eagles, Chris Hillman of The Byrds, and Richie Furay of Poco to name a few. Kara was also part of a Jesus rock band called Gentle Faith that was the lauchpad of the career of rock/blues/gospel musician Darrell Mansfield, and whose music appears in an Emmy-nominated documentary called Frisbee. This is all documented in the "Other Albums" section of the Bitch discography in Betsybitch.com, and all of this information, including Kara's presence in Bitch, is readily available throughout the web and verifiable through numerous soucres.

In other words, the current lineup of Bitch is essentailly a lineup of extremely talented musicians' musicians, and I think Bitch fans are entitled to know this information. I am therefore reversing these edits that delete Steve Kara from the lineup, which I think are confusing and misleading for the music fans that come to Wikipedia for accurate information on the band.
