what??

[edit]

Why is this called "Biscuit" Tortoni? I have never seen that before, it has always been just plain "Tortoni" at any of the Italian restaurants I have ever had this delicious variant of ice cream.

OK, I just did a Google search and apparently "Biscuit Tortoni" is a thing. Although I cannot yet find an explanation of Biscuit Tortoni vs. plain old Tortoni. If I find an explanation of what's going on, I will revisit this topic here.  :-\

For the record, I consider tortoni to be as good or better than spumoni or Italian gelato. :)

And yes, I realize that compared to global warming, global pandemic, and the rise of global fascism, this is a minor tiddlybob in the cosmic scheme of things, but I do want to know what's going on. Tortoni is my favorite ice cream, hard to find, perhaps I'm on a quest to make it for myself. Any thoughts? lol — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:6EB0:80E0:C1E:7F06:C08D:876D (talk) 23:15, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
