Juris Doctor

There is no such degree as the "Juris Doctorate" at this law school (or any major law school that I know of). Don't just take my word for it, read their own webpage (see the section on Curriculum). Bobak 17:35, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes sir, there is a Juris Doctorate degree. I have a brother who graduated from Birmingham School of Law and you can look on his diploma. Written on it are the words "Juris Doctorate". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.242.38.140 (talk) 08:06, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

The degree is correctly referred to as a Juris Doctor.SuburbanEconomist (talk) 02:35, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

Reverting issue:

There seems to be a user with a problem with the following paragraph:

Graduates are eligible to take the Alabama State Bar Examination pursuant to the authority granted by the Alabama Legislature and the Alabama Supreme Court. However, as the school is not accredited by the American Bar Association, graduates cannot immediately take the bar outside of Alabama.

There is nothing untrue in the statement, in fact it borrows lines directly from the school's own website. Is there a problem with its inclusion or are we strictly doing marketing-based white-washing? -- Bobak 18:24, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

The average BSL student is 35-40 years of age, married and employed full time. Many students commute up to 200 miles per night to attend 3 classes per week, three semesters per year for four and a half years. BSL is a non-traditional school that serves the needs of non-traditional law students in Alabama. (Dean)

Organizations

I see there are two organizations incorporated in Alabama that are associated with the school: Birmingham School of Law Foundation Inc. ( http://arc-sos.state.al.us/cgi/corpdetail.mbr/detail?corp=569522&page=name&file= ) and Birmingham School of Law Alumni Association, Inc. ( http://arc-sos.state.al.us/cgi/corpdetail.mbr/detail?corp=813689&page=name&file= ). Not sure where to include these in the article. Also, I cannot find where the school itself is registered with the state of AlabamaTodd Gallagher (talk) 03:56, 28 November 2009 (UTC).
