Do you have a reference for the name Birmingham City School District? The website http://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/ doesn't mention it and calls the district Birmingham Public Schools. Tedernst | talk 23:59, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birmingham Public Schools is the brand name used by the district. Birmingham City School District is the formal name recognized by the Mich. Dept. of Ed. Such branding is common in Mich. public school districts. See Mich. Dept. of Ed. state school district map: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/CGI-state_sch_district_67407_7.pdf —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.81.0.20 (talk) 17:08, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone interested - right now I'm working on some additions to the Birmingham City School District (Birmingham Public Schools) page for Birmingham, Michigan. I have a booklet that was made in 2006 called "From Slake Boards to Chalk Boards: A History of Birmingham Public Schools" that has a lot of information about the history of the school district and the individual schools. This 30-some page booklet was created by Birmingham Historical Museum and Park and the Birmingham School District. I'm not sure if I'm citing it properly, so any direction would be appreciated.
