Native range

[edit]

It's rather unsatisfactory reading that the species are invasive, but nothing is said about their native ranges. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.164.200.42 (talk) 08:13, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Native to

[edit]

Where are they from? Anarchangel (talk) 20:18, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(2 years later) Why did no one respond to User:Anarchangel's question? Not including which country/countries they are native to is a serious problem with the current version of this article! 173.88.246.138 (talk) 16:02, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Made a small addition to a new sighting, and cited to the local ABC/NBC affiliate that reported on it. I'm still pretty new to editing, so feel free to correct, change, or make any necessary alterations! King keudo (talk) 18:17, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Found in TN

[edit]

This morning a coworker and myself found a Biapalium Pennsylvanicum in Cookeville TN. Which is 1 hour east of Nashville and 1.5 hours of Knoxville TN. We work at a hotel and it was on our sidewalk we took pictures of it because we had never seen anything like it before. 2600:1004:B193:624A:0:52:D3BB:E01 (talk) 11:37, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How big are they?

[edit]

The article would be improved if someone knowledgeable (not me!) would be kind enough to mention the animal's dimensions. At the moment this worm could be any size between a pinworm and an anaconda... Nick Michael (talk) 13:10, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article is covering the genus, Bipalium, not any specific species of the planarian. Physical dimensions can vary wildly across species, and it would improper to try and include physical dimensions for individual species on this page. It is an understandable request, though. Environmental Effects?

[edit]

You mention that Bipalium feed on earthworms. How does this impact the environment? Why is having less earthworms harmful? Does this harm other organisms that feed on earthworms? LiviaHolthus (talk) 03:09, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
