Bionanonanobio

Can someone tell me why there's an article named Nanobiotechnology in addition to this one? Seems rather redundant. Joffeloff 17:33, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

I think that bionanotechnology = adapting the mechanisms found in molecular biology for nanomachines that can do many kinds of work, while nanobiotechnology = designing nanomachines to do work within biological organisms. Presumably there's overlap between these fields, but order does seem to matter. :-) FreplySpang (talk) 17:38, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Merger Proposal

I think that this article should be merged with the article Nanobiotechnology. Although the terms do have slightly connotations and usages, the distinctions are by no means commonly recognized. Also, there is so much overlap that most relevant technologies are better discussed in a holistic context rather than trying to split them up. It would be much more effective if the distinctions between the terms were discussed on one page, allowing for a better elucidation of the differences. Vramasub (talk) 03:59, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
