The paragraph about Wired Campus and Ars Technica seems like an advertisement to me. I understand the purpose of that paragraph, but it seems a bit like promotional material. There's nothing too overtly ad-like on here, though, so if you want to just remove the tag, that's fine. I won't press the issue. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They were the only reliable sources on Google News; I needed them to assert notability. As the quotes do not say anything approving, I'll remove the tag, but feel free to rewrite anything you take issue with, or add unfavourable views from other reliable sources. Looked at website

[edit]

I looked at the website. It looks like they are bumming their information off of us, in my opinion. Of course, so do a lot of other websites. Chris (talk) 20:25, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chris - this is Ethan Herdrick from the Biographicon. You are correct that we have pulled a ton of data in from Wikipedia. We make mention of that for each biography, like this: http://www.biographicon.com/history/7jj0x/Rick_Astley No, that link doesn't go to a video! ;) Herdrick (talk) 01:47, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How do they make money?

[edit]

I assume the people running Biographicon are trying to make money, but how are they going to do so? There's no advertising, no donation buttons, nothing. Anyone know? 202.81.18.30 (talk) 03:14, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone pays them perhaps? Someone who is interested in people's life stories and images? Maybe it's done by people in jail who do it for occupational therapy, or people on retirement benefits who do not need to be paid? I wanted to put my stuff in but it was dysfunctional. 144.136.178.112 (talk) 01:04, 6 April 2011 (UTC) Just tried again, error 500 all around, even the Feedback function does not function. Strange site, good idea, maybe someone else can do one that's usable? 144.136.178.112 (talk) 01:18, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
