Explanation of deleted content
[edit]I felt the previous version of this article betrayed a POV in favour of lifting 10% cap on ethanol blends and introduced an irrelevant LPG vs. ethanol debate. There are many factors inhibiting the use of higher concentration ethanol blends, e.g. the lack of flex fuel vehicles in Oz (my understanding is that aftermarket conversions are not even possible), limited production quantities, unsuitability of current distribution infrastructure, etc). University Students working on this page
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians! We are students from Uppsala University in a course on Ecological Effects of Climate Change. As part of our assessment, we will be editing this page for the next few weeks! Thankyou!
We have restructured the entire article. We got rid of no longer relevant or out of date information, which has now been changed either through government policy or further research and added in newer information. We also added the sections, ‘Types of Biofuels”, “Sources”, “Production Facilities” and “Issues”. This is to give more information about biofuels themselves and where they come from and of course issues, as it is a major debate. We kept the “E85 Vehicles”, “Government support”, “Regulation and Taxation” and “Campaigns” sections, but just updated them with new information and statistics. We have also got rid of some external links as they were just out of date and added some new recent reports up, and used a lot of references to validate the statistics and information.
Please leave any comments about the update and if there is any problems with the article, would appreciate some feedback!
Thank you so much "LBESMITH (talk) 17:19, 19 May 2018 (UTC)"
Outdated links in the references
[edit]It seems that many of the links directing to the Biofuel association now link to page not found errors. Is it possible for someone more versed in editing to find ways to link back to the old articles in an archive perhaps? — Preceding unsigned comment added by V.L.Laser (talk • contribs) 01:38, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
