[edit]on "heading " a team. Some newspapers submit the name of the lead reporter, others submit the whole team. Plus, you can see by the dates that this guy jumped to the Globe just after this series was finished. Naturally the Observer would want the prize submission to list reporters who still work for them. - No, what I mean is that this particular award (unlike many other of the Polk awards) was presented to the paper, not to a specific individual or group of reporters. Appelbaum was clearly a member of the award-winning team, but nothing in the two sources cited indicates that he was its leader. (He was listed first, but that seems to be for purely alphabetical reasons.) I'm changing "team headed by Appelbaum" to "team including Appelbaum", until a reliable source can be found stating that he was in fact the formal head. Hqb (talk) 22:36, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Good points. In reality, I think the editor who oversaw the project "led" the team. Appelbaum was clearly one of the main reporters on the project. But he wasn't the editor who led the project. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.233.18.150 (talk) 14:09, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know whether he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania? If so, what degree did he earn? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.233.18.150 (talk) 14:14, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- Details added. Yes, he graduated.--FeralOink (talk) 22:14, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Religion
[edit]I am pretty sure this man is Jewish. Besides, Binyamin is a Hebrew name.
