Hangi shops
[edit]Does anyone have any information on the hangi shops that were opened with his picture on it? I was very small then so i don't know much about it. User:202.147.43.82 21:44, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Heart Transplant
[edit]Can anyone give some information as to WHY he needed the transplant. The article jumps to the fact that he did, w/o any explanation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.128.84.219 (talk) 08:26, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Done, with info from Matt Elliott's biography. Muzilon (talk) 11:22, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Links to NZ On Screen
[edit]The external link to the profile on NZ On Screen fails WP:ELNO #1. The material should be incorporated into the article, with appropriate refs other than NZ On Screen. This will also allow for subsequent editors to improve on the material. The link to the video at NZ On Screen is a good one per WP:ELYES #3. UncleDouggie (talk) 04:31, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
POV
[edit]This entire article is far too POV. The paragraph "Billy T James is without doubt New Zealand’s greatest comedian and by general consensus the greatest entertainer New Zealand has ever produced. He is uniquely New Zealand and his fame and importance to our society has lasted well after his death. His ability to make New Zealanders laugh at themselves is the reason he will live on forever in the minds of everyone who ever saw him perform." is absurdly over the top, and simply wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 06:10, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Year of Birth?
[edit]What was Billy's year of birth? The Wiki article says 1948 and cites Matt Elliott's biography as a reference. But Elliott's book (on page 20 and elsewhere) actually gives *1949* as Billy's year of birth. On the other hand in this documentary we see Billy's grave marker, which clearly says "BORN 17-1-1948" (clip #3 at the 1:48 mark).

Which is correct? Muzilon (talk) 10:44, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Burial dispute
[edit]Does anyone know more about the dispute over his burial? I noticed it gets mention at Burial of James Takamore, but not here. (Sources from page that page: [1], [2]) — HTGS (talk) 22:48, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Of course there's a weird comedy in that One News source suggesting that the dispute over his body occurred two years before he died. — HTGS (talk) 22:54, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
