Let's (not) reminisce
[edit]I've whipped out this material which was added in an anonymous edit some time ago. I'm putting it here in case there's any value someone wants to wring out of it. Having an uncle who worked at the Armory where the show was broadcast, I saw the show many times. They used 5 B/W cameras, only 1 with a zoom lens, raised on a fork lift. The other 4 were 4 lens turret. One camera was in the rafters. The control room was about the size of a living room. The camera monitors were 5 inch. Jack Sterling introduced trapeze acts as 'working with out a net'. However, after the performers climbed, six guys would run out with a big mattress in case someone fell.
