Cast/characters format
[edit]I argue that, as it's formatted in other TV articles, the correct format of the cast be like:
- "CAST MEMEBER as CHARACTER"
Instead of:
- "CHARACTER (voiced by CAST MEMBER)"
Thoughts on the correct formatting? Iamnoahflores (talk) 22:38, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- However, as you seem to be ignoring, what it currently is is correct. "X as X" is correct when someone is portraying a live-action character. In animation, 'voiced by' is correct, as they are only voicing the character, not acting/portraying them live-action. By your reasoning, a number of animated articles do have it formatted as "X (voiced by X)", why are those all of a sudden now incorrect?... I also suggest you look at MOS:TVCAST. - FYI, I've also just started a discussion at WT:TV#'Cast'/'Characters' section for animated articles as well. Magitroopa (talk) 22:52, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- You never even gave examples to animated show articles that use the format, I gave you TWO in the edit summary. Also, some articles call it "voice cast" for animated, or even "cast and characters." Iamnoahflores (talk) 23:00, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Please see my answer at WP:TV – either format is acceptable, and neither is "required". --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:02, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
Shorts
[edit]BrickMaster02, what exactly is the 'Original release date' column about? All the citations I see only support the 'Nickelodeon air date' column. For example, both the The Futon Critic and Zap2it sources listed only support February 4, 2022, not January 18, 2022 (for "Theater Antics"). Magitroopa (talk) 01:57, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- The "Original release date" column refers to when the shorts were released on YouTube and Paramount+, like the shorts for the Rugrats revival. BrickMaster02 (talk) 02:01, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
