Choice of words? Many people will agree that Big Ass is currently a very successful band in thailand; but one might find that word "extremely sucessful" is arguable.

The text mentioned that the album was extremely successful, not the band itself. This is easier to measure. From the album release in 2004 to early 2005, none of other bands matched this band in term of popularity, playing time in radio/restaurant, etc. -- Lerdsuwa 14:01, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The text styling make it seems like a white-wash article to me. I would be more confortable with "the album enjoy tremedous success in 2005." There is no statistic that measure playing time outside radio, while radio chart itself usually strict to Grammy or RS depends on which radio station poll it. If you would state "one of the top band in Thailand", you should indicate which measurement are taken: radio chart, numbner of listener per day, sells amount, etc. --underexpose 17:05, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What are you questioning at actually? The style of writing or the popularity of the band? Anyway, according to [1] Big Ass received Song of the year award and received top vote for popularity from other artists FAT Awards #3. FAT radio doesn't lean toward any label, promote lots of underground artists actually, so it carries some weight. [2] Big Ass also took the best rock band and best rock album for "Seven" in 17th Season Award (the award is more about quality than success).
About the current news (criminal charges), it will be written when the situation is clear. -- Lerdsuwa 09:33, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
im questioning the writting style that properly reflect the band's popularity. please don't take this as an offend, i like big ass and i have no problem with the band. but i believe that wikipedia's article should be as neutral as possible. eg: by merely just saying that the album is extremely popular is porbably not enough. we should indicate what kind of measurement we refer to when amount for the band's popularity. it would be good if we put band's subjective award (such as season award or fat) so the user may know what kind of extent we are talking about.--underexpose 07:19, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Child sex charge?

[edit]
an 18 years old male magazine model nicknamed "Fai" appeared with her baby "Justin" and claimed that Dax is the baby's father on February 2006. It meant that Dax is a child sex offender

First of all, I assume that "male" should be "female" here, or else I'm missing a lot. Next, isn't the age of consent in Thailand 13 or 15? AxelBoldt 05:38, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Or are we talking about a "men's magainze model"? Also, the linked article in the Nation states that the mother is 17, not 18. AxelBoldt 05:50, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I meant men's magazine model. I have corrected this and her age. -- Lerdsuwa 15:32, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
