Bicol Express contribution | RibbaSky
[edit]Hello, I am a university student improving this article as part of my university class. Bicol Express is one of my favourite meals as a child so I hope to do this piece justice. Please let me know any feedback about how I can further improve my article or any criticisms of the work I have already done. Thank you! RibbaSky (talk) 23:57, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, you've done a great job with the article so far! Adding a few more photos and expanding the first section on etymology would improve the article.

- Hi. I'm a Bicolano myself so this dish is one of my favorites. Older Bicolanos have consistently told me that "Bicol Express" is the very same dish as "Gulay na Lada" or "Gulay na may Lada," which is not exactly a vegetarian dish as it almost always had meat on it, pork most of the time. In the local vernacular, "gulay" doesn't really refer to "vegetable" for it actually means "viand." The change in meaning probably made people think that "Gulay na may Lada" or "Gulay na Lada" is strictly made of vegetables when it simply means "VIAND with chili peppers." Thus, Bicol Express had always been used as a viand, albeit a really tasty one, that it soon became a main dish itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.225.139.162 (talk) 11:59, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
