after an extensive search, I was able to find more information about said person Supershah6 (talk) 04:17, 28 July 2018 (UTC) Bharat Shah was elected as the past President of Bharat Diamond Bourse  Mumbai - the longest serving president and is the Hon. Chairman of the Mumbai Diamond Merchants Association. His spectacular contribution towards diamond exports has won him several awards and his Company (B. Vijaykumar & Co.) has been the largest exporter of diamonds in the nation for 20 out of the 40 odd years in business. In a pioneering effort, Mr. Bharat Shah set up one of the largest diamond cutting factory worldwide in, Bangkok with over 4000 workers and as a corollary to the business also started the first international  manufacturing venture in India with, Star Diamonds (USA) at SEEPZ in 1991.[reply]

Proposed Deletion (September 2020)

[edit]

Nominated for PROD under WP:BLP1E, but I was quickly able to find substantial news coverage of this individual, not all of it related to that single criminal investigation. See for example Times of India coverage, which includes a subsequent criminal investigation, his involvement in a real estate development, several industry-related notes stemming from his involvement in film deals, etc. (also includes some unrelated content about a doctor by the same name). Indian Express has less coverage, but includes articles about another criminal matter and his role with relief work from the diamond trader association. I think that reasonably establishes him as a public figure for more than just the single event. --Spasemunki (talk) 17:17, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
