Motor traffic?
[edit]The Bewdley article states (and I've heard the same) that the bridge is the only unmodernised Telford bridge still carrying motor traffic. Is this true, and if so is there a reference anywhere? Loganberry (Talk) 00:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- I deliberately didn't add that here as I have found no source to back it up. I'd be very, very surprised if it were true, as Telford built dozens if not hundreds of bridges, and I reckon it wouldn't be too hard to find another that was unmodified and still carried traffic. -- Kvetner 12:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think I'm going to take it out of the Bewdley article. I live in Bewdley, and have heard this mentioned by locals, but I can't recall hearing a precise definition of "unmodified". As such it's really got to count as unreferenced speculation, and therefore shouldn't be in. Loganberry (Talk) 13:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
