This article is significant as it provides a simple biography of a political figure in Colorado's 4th Congressional District. As the election nears, the ability to access information quickly on all candidates warrants the creation of this page.

Thanks, PingreePark

Could someone (from her staff maybe;-) be so kind as to upload an official photograph of Betsy Markey to Wikimedia Commons? TIA --K.warterbeck (talk) 18:06, 23 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Yes...it would be good to have one where she doesn't look so awful! 68.83.72.162 (talk) 01:31, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to whoever moved the image to the Commons. --K.warterbeck (talk) 13:07, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Campaign funding sources and amounts

[edit]

I find it curious that there is no mention of the amount of outside money spent to defeat Marilyn Musgrave. -- Loveland —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.90.124.37 (talk) 23:27, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I.e. $1.2M spent by "Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund" of which $175,000 was from Ft. Collins heiress Pat Stryker. Another $875,000, or so, from three other groups and another $1.1M from DNCC. See Rocky Mountain News article. That's compared to about $913,000 total for Musgrave, including RNCC funds. See FEC numbers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.90.124.37 (talk) 00:30, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Including that information would go against Wikipedia's policy of a left-leaning POV, referred to as "NPOV". Even though Democrats bragged of influencing that election from outside, it's now not politically correct to acknowledge. --71.203.125.108 (talk) 16:28, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Professional career and small business

"After leaving the State Department in 1988, Markey co-founded a software firm, Syscom Services"
Syscom's website (at the link given in the article) says the company was founded in 1986. Did she co-found the firm before leaving the State Department? AndrewAllen (talk) 23:21, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
