advertising in citation

[edit]

"InnFutures was launched in 2008 and introduces hotel owners, including Best Western hotels, and management contract companies to manage their hotels. The hotel owners decide InnFutures’ level of involvement." this piece of text is from a website advertising hotels,The ten best hotels chains - medium, I am unsure if I should remove the text as it's vital information and doesn't advertise the hotel in the text, or add back the citation. i did not add this text originally, any advice would be helpful Tomatoketchupmustard (talk) 12:52, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

this page has had this problem since 2014, removal will lead to a loss of information Tomatoketchupmustard (talk) 13:19, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

business model

[edit]

it remains uncited and mostly goes over best western international no text might be a better addition rather than the uncited text, but if anyone can find a citation please add Tomatoketchupmustard (talk) 13:03, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Tomatoketchupmustard:, I see what you meant now about it being lifted from the website you linked. It is really useful that you pointed it out. What I'm going to do is remove that part. I'm unsure if the medium website that you linked is copyrighted but I'm not going to take the chance for now. Wikipedia has strict rules about copyright.
Just to clarify for anyone reading this, Tomatoketchupmustard did not introduce the potentially copyrighted text. Knitsey (talk) 14:57, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
