The same person?

[edit]

Does anyone know if this Bertha Rosemond is the subject of this Wikipedia article? Based on the age and location, I assume that it is. Source: Jet. May 22, 1952. p. 59. EddieHugh (talk) 16:08, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@EddieHugh: does this help? https://books.google.de/books?id=Tz9xDQAAQBAJ&dq=%22Clinton+Rosemond%22+actor&pg=PA276&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=%22Clinton%20Rosemond%22%20actor&f=false --Qwertzu111111 (talk) 15:05, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. It's of the right time and place, but doesn't mention the specific film. There's been a lot more coverage of her life since I worked on this, so it's easier to fill in more important details than something she might have been a part of at the age of 15. Continued career

[edit]

The current article says, "After Elmo's death in 1967, Hope-Booker gave up her music career despite being offered a place in Art Blakey's band." This cannot be true. She has recordings listed dated 1990-2018. That might mean a 20-year gap but at The History Makers I find that "After her husband’s passing in 1967, she continued to present his music and remained an active force in improvised music within the New York jazz scene." Someone who knows enough should please make sure this WP article is factually correct. Zaslav (talk) 02:57, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
