In regards to this referenced 'secure' link. After visiting it the ssl appears to be self-signed or at least by an authority (the government) that firefox doesn't recognize. Im not currently aware of wikipedias policy regarding the linking of self-signed certificates but perhaps someone else knows more about this than I Woods01 (talk) 08:33, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
needs work, update, explaining
[edit]Ellis Yarnall Berry was a Congressman from South Dakota (1951-1971). The Berry Amendment was originally passed by Congress as part of the 1941 Fifth Supplemental DoD Appropriations Act, and was included in subsequent defense appropriations acts, until it was made permanent in Fiscal Year 1994 by Sec. 8005 of Public Law 103-139. However, the act was not codified as 10 U.S.C. § 2533a until 2002 by section 832 of Public law 107-107, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002. Reminder - add link to congressman's article; explain apparent disconnect between dates and (honorary?) names of amendment(s), I.E. 1941, 1951-1971, 1973 (specialty metals add); which/when is/was it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.224.2 (talk) 22:48, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. How could the amendment be named for this Berry when it was enacted 10 years before he was elected to Congress? Paratrooper450 (talk) 21:09, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
