Notability

[edit]

*Appears to fail WP:NBOOK. Unless it can be sourced, it should be merged to Bernie Sanders.E.M.Gregory (talk) 12:07, 15 September 2017 (UTC) [reply]

  • Replacing tag because I am not at all certain that this meets WP:BOOKCRIT #5, as asserted by editor who removed tag. I have looked at the gNews hits; this book does not appear to have been reviewed (well, few works of nonfiction books written for the teenage market get reviewed.) It does have news hits, but many of them appear to be brief mentions. An editor who wants to remove this tag needs simply to expand and source the article to demonstrate WP:SIGCOV. Alternatively, the book cam be merged to to Bernie Sanders#Books. E.M.Gregory (talk) 17:09, 17 September 2017 (UTC) Due to bestseller status. I was auto-notified that this page had been created bcasues it is linked ofmr a page I crated. But, it was so poorly sourced that it sure looked like PROMO, and the gNews search was not at all encouraging - mere mentions and a little pre-pub hype. The gNews search looks better now.E.M.Gregory (talk) 19:49, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the notability tag because...this is a fully referenced stub. Yes, it needs to be expanded. If you want to ban stub creations, that's fine, but off topic here. And if What Happened is notable, so is this book.Zigzig20s (talk) 17:39, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, it is also a New York Times bestseller.Zigzig20s (talk) 17:41, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
With the greatest of respect @E.M.Gregory: I think you have misread the WP:BOOKCRIT criteria, "A book is notable if it verifiably meets, through reliable sources, at least one of the following criteria". This book may not meet #5, but it certainly fufills criteria #1. Greg (talk) 19:33, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
