POV
[edit]this page appears to have been written by one person. The references are all dependent on three sources. These three sources are suspect of being hostile to catholicism. Peppermintschnapps (talk) 14:34, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- I encourage you to add information from whatever other sources are available. Nogara is an unfortunately obscure figure, and I have added everything I have found so far. Savidan 17:01, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Nogara
[edit]I arrive at Nogara from online of Pope Pius XI . The reviews of the John F. Pollard Money and the Rise of the Modern Papacy-Financing the Vatican are here http://www.eh.net/bookreviews/library/0944.shtml
It seems Ernesto Pacelli preceeded Nogara as the Holy Sees 'funds' manager . I find the reference to 'corporations' in S.America reminding me of the Bill Dorich Federal case 'on' in California . Ernesto's nephews included also Pope Pius XII , and we see this Pope's brother Francesco noted in relation to the Lateran Treaty . Famekeeper 09:28, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
Original research
[edit]This edit that I reverted is original research. Generally speaking, theses articles should be written from secondary sources, not from primary sources like the Actes. In fact, this edit illustrates the danger of OR. The fact that the Vatican had purchased food in time1 in no way disproves that they purchased something else in time2 and told someone else that it was food. In fact, there is nothing in the Actes, much less in any secondary source, to connect the food purchase to Nogara. Savidan 14:35, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Software Problem with ths page
[edit]On loading this page, parts of the images, i.e. picture of Nogara, obscure whole sections of the text. But if one clicks on the Nogara picture and then cancel it, the problem disappears. This must be an problem with the software. Does anyone know how to fix it? Pmg1000 (talk) 10:43, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Correction: The problem was with my Windows XP and Google. Changed to a computer with Windows 7 and Google Chrome and the problem disappeared. Pmg1000 (talk) 12:24, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
