lint errors in <small> tags

Sportsfan 1234 reverted my edits to remove misnested lint errors without any explanation. This page now once again contains such errors. Simply reverting edits without undue consideration is a violation of WP:QUO. If there is some legitimate reason for the reversion, then please describe it here.
