What does the "receiver" title used in this article mean? Can someone who is knowledgeable about it add an article, and then link it into the receiver disambiguation page? -- Mikeblas 02:02, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Father in law

[edit]

It seems more likely that Bloomfield married Harriott, daughter of Thomas Douglas of Grantham. Her brother, John Douglas MP (1774-1838), of Newmarket Palace, Cambs. is also sometimes said to be the son of John Douglas of Grantham, Lincs. and his wife Harriott née Lucke, but this is not the case. Date of birth

[edit]

I am somewhat doubtful about a date of birth of 13 April 1768 in relation to his commissioning as a second lieutenant in the Royal Artillery in 1781, when he would have been just 13. My DoB for him is 13 April 1762[1]. Shipsview (talk) 13:09, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
