The article was an absolute mess when I first looked at it (April 15, 2011). It seemed to have been written by someone trying to promote the artist, but it was almost entirely uncited, blatantly campaigning or promotional and very badly written. I removed all original research and tidied up the article as best I could. What is left, unfortunately, is little more than a stub and needs a lot of work. Thanks. It's a bit sad that an Archibald and Doug Moran winner has such a sparse article, but there was really no justification in keeping what was previously there. I hope someone can fill out the article with properly cited encyclopedic content. Wikipeterproject (talk) 16:58, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here is an [article] published in The Sydney Morning Herald, with quite a bit of biographical information about Quilty. If anyone has time and inclination, it would be great if they could expand this article. Wikipeterproject (talk) 18:21, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
