TV credits
[edit]I've changed this to Television presenting credits and removed the appearences on chat shows as it appeared to be getting unmanageable and no doubt will get more so in future. Full details appear on imdb & the like - I can't remember if the standard link is included, if not I'll add. -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 18:23, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
The confirmed bachelor, his will and the £354,000 flat for Ben
[edit]Thought it was conspicuous by its absence but why is there no mention of Fogle's windfall from Tatler's social editor, Peter Townsend? When the 80-year-old confirmed bachelor died he left six young £1000 each and a London flat worth £354k to Fogle. It caused quite a stir at the time. Townsend, a former editor of Burkes Peerage, hardly knew Fogle, although - for just a few months - they had neighbouring desks at Tatler.
References mentioning this inheritance: Times Online, Evening Standard, and Daily Mail.
Fogle later sold the flat for a sizeable profit. He reportedly said: "It's still one of life's unsolved mysteries why Peter left me the money. It was an amazing gesture from a very dear man." Flat sold. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.42.254.59 (talk) 13:23, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Early Life
[edit]I've flagged the somewhat unbelievable statmement that Ben produced an album with William Shatner. I can't find any reference to this online. Does anyone know who first added this? It's probably safe just to remove it, but I didn't want to be too hasty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.41.48.40 (talk) 12:33, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- He's corrected this misconception on twitter now, so I've gone ahead and removed. Firesine (talk) 14:32, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
To Boldly Go Where No One Has Been Before - and produced an album with William Shatner.
Honestly, where did such dis-information come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.20.235.19 (talk) 16:39, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
And the winner of the Upper-Class Twit Of The Year Award is...
[edit]Given that the BBC are over-loaded with presenters that are - or appear to be - royalty-loving, sports-mad and upper-class, could we have a few lines about Ben's seemingly aristocratic ways? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.20.235.19 (talk) 17:43, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
