I have added a section called "Disadvangtaged Groups". It discuss homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, and other "disadvantaged" groups, which form a large section of this part of town. I hope to shortly be adding more references to media articles about the subject. --rob 2 July 2005 07:04 (UTC)

I suggest removing the clause about "child prostitution" until a proper source can be cited.

Agreed. I am completely unaware of this being a serious problem in the Beltline and I think a reference could help. --Arch26 01:41, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

http://beltline.ca/ was identified as the website for the Beltline community. While it appears to be run by "Beltline Communities" it is not functional at the top-level and has been removed until it is updated to be relevant. DMZ403 (talk) 22:46, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Electric Avenue

[edit]

I have removed the line that reads "The Beltline district also has the highest reported number of homicides, 32, since 1992 for the city.[14] Only 5 of these murders were associated with the Electric Avenue nightlife, and not all decedants were residents of the area, but visiting nightclubs." Electric Avenue is long gone and no longer relevant, and the referenced article for the homicides since 1992 is no longer in existance. Also I'm not sure what "decedants" is supposed to mean. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.0.254.153 (talk) 10:25, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A mention of Electric Avenue would probably be relevant in a history section. --Qyd (talk) 15:45, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
