Hebrew article

[edit]

Shouldn't "This article may be expanded with text translated from the corresponding article in the Yiddish Wikipedia." include mention of the Hebrew Wikipedia article? Mcljlm (talk) 22:02, 28 August 2014 (UTC) 29 August 2014.[reply]

Southern Hemisphere

[edit]

"The yeshiva year typically begins on 1 Elul—this being Rosh Chodesh Elul. ... Between Tisha B’Av and 1 Elul are roughly three weeks, which make up the final bein hazmanim in the yeshiva year."

But I would imagine that in the Southern Hemisphere, in places like Australia, South Africa, Argentina, and Brazil, the yeshiva year starts more like in February/March than in August/September (when the start of the month of Elul is), and it ends more like in January/February than in July/August (when the month of Av is).
