The nearby village
[edit]I noticed that "Bayt Hajjar" is just a made-up name by the author Tobias Kelly, just like the name of the villagers (likely because of security reasons). The village is much likely Beit Liqya as it matchs the location and population figure given. I made an edit here. I guess I can't add that the village could be Beit Liqya. What do you think?
I ping Huldra and Zero0000 because you know much about Palestinian villages. --IRISZOOM (talk) 05:44, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- You are right. Kelly says on p23 that he changed the name of the village. I agree that Beit Libya is a likely candidate, but this conclusion is too OR to mention. It is also unsafe because Kelly might have changed other details to disguise its identity. Zerotalk 06:28, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. Then it is enough like it is now. --IRISZOOM (talk) 06:36, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
aranjul
[edit]To editor Huldra: To editor Onceinawhile: In 1940s maps this village is labeled as "Beit Nuba & 'Aranjul". Aranjul is not mentioned here, and probably that indicates missing information. Zerotalk 02:42, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
