11-23 Revisions

[edit]

Hello! I have made the following revisions to this page as part of my Wikipedia student editing project: 1. I found plagiarized content in the second paragraph of the "Incident" section and rewrote the sentences for originality. 2. I added the following hyperlinks to other Wikipedia articles for further reading: 1700s, alligator, crayfish, nesting instinct, 20th century, Napoleonville, and The Atlantic. 3. I added two paragraphs to the "Impact" section, the final two paragraphs, providing further information on developments related to the Bayou Corne sinkhole in the news recently. The first pertains to a recent permit Texas Brine sought in order to discharge wasterwater into the sinkhole as part of remedy efforts (September 2014). The second pertains to a recent lawsuit Texas Brine began against Ocy Petroleum after claiming that Occidental Petroleum is responsible for events that caused the sinkhole (July 2015). For both of these bits of information, I added scientific sources, which are currently sources 28 and 29 on this article's bibliography.--Daniel Ducote (talk) 06:55, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
