My translation is now complete, but I have trouble getting an image to display. It is in the Subsection "Assembly and Dedication in 1850" and has the caption "Final assembly of the statue in 1850". There is precisely the same problem at the German site -- http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavaria (subsection "Aufstellung und Einweihung 1850"). A note to the person who originally uploaded the file into the Commons brought this answer:
"sorry, but I cannot help. I've tried uploading another copy of the image under a slightly different name, but it's the same problem with it, it is only displayed if you click directly on the source, but not embedded... I have no idea why, when I first uploaded it four years ago everything functioned nicely ... maybe they don't accept the .gif-format anymore? You better go and ask...."
Can someone help me/us, please? Many thanks in advance. Remotelysensed (talk) 15:06, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

the Ruhmeshalle section of this article is bigger than the Ruhmeshalle article

[edit]

This article has a section about the Hall of Fame ("Ruhmeshalle"), with an explanation that the two go together because they were designed as a whole. The Ruhmeshalle also has its own article, but that's much smaller than the Ruhmeshalle section of this article.

I buy the argument that "Bavaria statue" should have a "Ruhmeshalle" section. But it should be smaller than the Ruhmeshalle article, with a "main article" link. TypoBoy (talk) 16:04, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
