You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article, but I've emended them somewhat to be less precise and to correspond to the approximate location of the Indian villages that were attacked, near the juncture of the Prairie Dog Branch and Cita Creek and outside the boundary of Palo Duro Canyon State Park, as shown in the diagram on p. 106 of Battles of the Red River War: Archeological Perspectives on the Indian Campaign of 1874. With regard to the statement in your heading, the Fourth Cavalry under Mackenzie was apparently based at Fort Clark at the time, but, as the article says, Mackenzie led his troops to Fort Concho on the way to this battle.
