Review

[edit]

This article is very well written and deserves to be considered a Good Article. However, there are a few items that need attention. The last item is the most glaring issue. Djmaschek (talk) 21:02, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I think I've taken care of all these. Much appreciated.--Jackyd101 (talk) 22:10, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
All issues addressed satisfactorily. Pass. Djmaschek (talk) 03:37, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Guiyesse's journey" section. Second sentence of paragraph 2 has "to cruised in the area" which should be "to cruise in the area".
  • "Guiyesse's journey" section. First sentence of paragraph 4 needs a period (.) between Mahé and Adam.
  • "Guiyesse's journey" section. Last sentence of paragraph 5 says, "When the latter reached the beach..." I know what you mean by "latter" (the ships boats going for the shore) but I wonder if there is a better way to write this. (optional)
  • First "Combatant summary" table. The text states 160 French surrendered, 100 escaped and 53 were casualties. But the table gives a complement of 190 for Chiffone. I assume the other Frenchmen were probably the crews of the schooner and ketch, but can this somehow be made more clear?
  • Second "Combatant summary" table. There are clearly wrong figures for the French complement, killed, wounded and total. The text says 4 killed, which is not reflected in the table and 53 seems like a refugee from the first table.

Here is an additional suggestion. Djmaschek (talk) 21:47, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are portraits of Adam, Collier and Rainer available in Wikipedia. There is plenty of room for at least two in the article as supporting materials.
