Stub removed
[edit]Okay, I put in a basic outline of the battle, which should eliminate the stub rating, its not very good (being my first article) and I haven't had time to put in a lot of citations for this stuff, but I think its alright for now, and this battle certainly deserves a proper article. I also added the approximate troop strengths for each side, although the Confederate numbers are disputed, 6000 is usually the accepted number amongst historians.
Changes to Battle of Honey Springs.
[edit]Added further detail to emphasize the presence of native american & black units on the Federal side and an amplified article with bibliography for the interested student. The reference link is to a much longer article, a reproduction of an eyewitness engraving and a bibliography to the article (and a game referenced elsewhere on the site.
The guidelines suggest somebody else should review the linked article to verify that it is appropriate. So I'd appreciate it if somebody would do that. Thx. --LPDuff 22:44, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
