Date of Battle
[edit]I provided a reference that indicated the dates of 20-23 January 1913. If someone can provide other sources concerning the date of this battle, it would be most appreciated. --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:13, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
It seems that something is wrong with this source since most sources claim that the fall of Ioannina happened one month later (ca. 20-21 Feberuary (O.S.))Alexikoua (talk) 09:30, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Essat/Essad
[edit]It might be comfusing but the Ottoman General Esat Pasha of Ioannina has nothing to do with Essad Pasha Toptani of Shkodra, the Albanian politician. According to this [[1]]:
Es(s)at Pasha was the brother of Vehip Pasha. After the fall of Ioannina, he served with distinction in the Dardanelles campaign. Also served in the Abbesinian army during the Italian-Abbesinian war (1935-1936).
I believe there is no problem to make the appropriate corrections. Maybe I'll create an article about him the in the near future.Alexikoua (talk) 09:30, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

- There are minor variations (Battle/Fall/Capture of Fort/fortress Bizani), [[2]], but it was still one of the major battles in BWI.Alexikoua (talk) 12:39, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Should this article be renamed to "Siege of Yanya"
[edit]It seems Siege of Yanya is used more in the literature than the Battle of Bizani? Erickson, Richard Hall refer to it as Yanya as well who are the main sources for this article — Preceding unsigned comment added by SJCAmerican (talk • contribs) 10:26, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
