[edit]Whole page of battle of bhupalgarh is misleading. 106.78.36.24 (talk) 08:39, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- What is correct then? Provide your version with Sources. This wikipedia article has clear sources. Let me guess.... Your only source is the bullshi+ propaganda bollywood movie. This is a fact, and shivaji hated sambhaji. That is why his generals betrayed sambhaji and sided with mughals. Hisenberg3376 (talk) 09:47, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- Books That Prove Sambhaji Did NOT Fight for the Mughals:
- 1. “Raja ShivChatrapati” by Babasaheb Purandare
- • Nowhere does it mention Sambhaji fighting alongside the Mughals.
- • Instead, it describes how the Mughals attacked and destroyed the fort.
- 2. “Chhatrapati Sambhaji” by Dr. Jaysingrao Pawar
- • It explains that Sambhaji Maharaj never helped the Mughals but was a victim of political rumors.
- 3. “Shrimant Yogi” by Ranjit Desai
- • This book, a historical novel based on facts, clearly states that Sambhaji was loyal to the Marathas.
- These are not bollywood sources kindly read it and do necessary changes ImiOSuser (talk) 23:26, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- The Battle of Bhupalgarh took place in 1679 between the Mughal Empire and the Marathas. The fort of Bhupalgarh, located in present-day Maharashtra, was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and served as a strategic defense post for the Marathas.
- Correct Information about the Battle of Bhupalgarh:
- The battle was part of the ongoing conflict between the Marathas and the Mughals during the late 17th century.
- The Mughals, under the leadership of Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan, launched an attack on Bhupalgarh in 1679.
- The Marathas fiercely resisted the attack, but due to the overwhelming Mughal forces, the fort was eventually captured.
- After taking control, the Mughals destroyed Bhupalgarh Fort to weaken Maratha defenses in the region.
- Sambhaji Maharaj was not involved in this battle against his father, as falsely claimed in some sources. In reality, Sambhaji’s temporary conflict with Shivaji happened later but was unrelated to this battle.

Question: What changes would you specifically like to be made? EF5 01:05, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Cannolis (talk) 03:22, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- No mistakes.... the page has clear sources from history. While your only source is a bollywood propaganda movie. Bring clear sources. Sambhaji is a stupid that is why, his generals who loved shivaji betrayed him and sided with mughals. Sambhaji just tasted his own medicine. So, nothing wrong. There is no source of Sambhaji violating any Brahman women, and also no reference has been cited on this claim. This is character assassination of Sambhaji. It should be immediately deleted from this page and other pages of Wikipedia wherever such claims are mentioned without any source. 206.84.224.88 (talk) 03:20, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
Not done: CaptainEek has since added multiple references to the sentence in question. jlwoodwa (talk) 06:14, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
Where did this happen?
[edit]Right now the infobox says it happened in "Bhupalgarh (Banur, Maharashtra)." Although there are several Wikilink canidates for that, I wasn't sure which one in particular. It would be nice to add a sentence like "The battle happened at Bhupalgarh (Banur, Maharashtra), in what is present day....." But we need to figure out what the present day place is in the first instance. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 04:01, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Alright, I think I answered my own question upon finding that there is another spelling of the name. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 04:08, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
