Added convert templates for both metric and imperial measurements plus the hands template where relevant. (Never underestimate how many US viewers access WP) Linked a few things and did some minor copyediting, hope it all helps. Also made some tweaks to the bit on the North American curlies - as they are sometimes called the "Bashkir Curly", I want to be sure we don't have people coming here thinking they are going there, etc... worst of all, don't want yet another article created or this one vandalized to turn into one on Curlies. (They have the usual US problem of multiple competing breed registries, all claiming to have the "real" ones... sigh). I also added the bit here on the Bashkir not being an ancestor to the Curly to the Curly article, not sure if we need the copy and paste notice for a slightly modified sentence or not, but no objection if you want to add it there.
