Getting Started...

I love this anime, so I'm going to help in making this a decent article. I've uploaded screenshots for the first three episodes and I will capture one for the fourth. Later tonight I'll do the summaries for the episodes and character summaries as well. I will also look around for an image from the manga. --Iriseyes 04:32, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

I'd mainly suggest that you work on episode summaries. I'm off for three weeks from school starting the 15th, so I'll be doing a lot of work on this article, but if you'd like to get some work done before then, please feel free. --Iriseyes 17:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I have expanded the character section, and gone in-depth on the character section. I've uploaded the character's screenshots from the anime, and if you wish, please check for corrections. Hey, the Character section about Ryuu has some obvious mistakes. The plot about episode 9 is totally wrong, Ryuu actually made two mistakes: the first one is about the woman, but what's wrong is the glass holding the drink (BTW the man is not the woman's husband); the second is about the man, Ryuu misunderstood the man and the man died after being the first customer of Eden Hall before Ryuu could say sorry to him. --Lemontree 11:44, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

And the bar Ryuu runs is not opened by himself. It is revealed in the last episode that he took over the bar from its previous owner and he is waiting for someone else like him to continue it. --Lemontree 11:46, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I've seen a thirteenth volume of Bartender advertised online: http://benippon.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=22105

Analysis

Overview

So in the final paragraph, you end with "being entitled to this." Do you mean that Sasakura is entitled to drink or serve the "Glass of the Gods", what I assume is a drink? If so, it might be helpful to put in a few words about why he is entitled to this. If it goes into too much detail, then we might want to remove that part of the sentence. I just want to try and clear it up a little to make it less ambiguous! I am enjoying the article, and learning about something new. Thank you! -Pax85 (talk) 03:04, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for picking it up for copyedit, Pax85! I wasn't expecting someone would chose it so quickly. "Glass of the Gods" is not exactly a drink but it's in fact Ryu's capacity to prepare "the right drink at the right time"—the one that will help customers to reflect upon theirs lives and help them into solving their problems. And by "entitled" I mean he's known by the name "Glass of the Gods" because of this ability. Wow, glad to know that you're enjoying the article (I'm biased to say but the series is very enjoyable too! :P). And there's no problem in requesting clarifications. Final Thoughts

Overall, very good. Thanks for the invite; I might even have to check out the series myself! Once you submit it for review at the anime and manga project, they may be able to provide more suggestions, but I do have a couple of final thoughts:

• In the "manga" section it might be helpful to explain why Ren Sajim was influential. Once you do this you might have to break up those first few sentences, which would help overall flow anyway.
• Any chance of providing an additional illustration or two, or perhaps a frame shot from the anime or live-action series?

Sorry for a late response, Pax85. I've removed that Ren Sajima was influential on him. I took it from the Japanese Wikipedia ("続編『バーテンダー à Paris』『バーテンダー à Tokyo』の主人公・佐島 蓮（さじま れん）にも影響を与えた人物。") but I'm unsure who influenced who. Anyway, their Bartender à Paris seems to imply he is a non-related character. Also, all sources there only mention he is a new protagonist but does not give any further information. The same goes from sources in French, Italian or Portuguese. I have no access to it all but I'll try to give any detail when I can. I guess another image is a good idea but I'm unsure if I can give a good WP:NFC rationale for it. When I've wrote the article I had only watched the anime TV series and not read the manga. I'm still reading it but I've already reworded the plot to better reflect a manga perspective. On the other hand, I've added a bit from reviewers input on the anime style and split "Overview" into "Plot" and "Themes and style". Can you take a look on it?
