Revision of Bart Sears Wikipedia page.
[edit]To all interested parties: Please note that edits will occur to this page. Your interest and dedication to creating this page is greatly appreciated but at this time Mr. Sears feels it does not reflect the fullness of his body work and has asked that it be updated and revised. I will incorporate as many of the subjects that you have touched on as I can, pending his approval. I would welcome your input on this talk page and look forward to hearing from you. Uhm, fluff?
[edit]I've seen plenty of articles on Wikipedia flagged for being fluff pieces. This might be the most blatant I've seen in a while…
"unique style" — subjective, though I'll let it slide. “He is also widely known for his informative educational series Brutes & Babes (monthly lessons on the art of drawing comics) featured in early issues of Wizard Magazine, which many professional artists cite as a motivating factor in pursuing art as their career of choice.” Proof/link? "Violator (#1 comic of 1994) " — proof/link? "…well known monthly series Brutes and Babes that was featured in Wizard Magazine as well as the How-To book ‘Drawing Powerful Comics: Volume One’ which has achieved a cult status." — I sort of doubt the well-known-ness (not a word), proof? cult status, proof? "Currently: Sears is the creative force behind Ominous Studios, Inc." — that's press release talk. He runs the studio. Say what is meant.
I'd start rewriting this page, but it feels like a lost cause. It'd be best replaced by a stub at this point. Rirrgang (talk) 00:15, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
