Barry Davis (amateur wrestler)Barry Davis (wrestler) – Unnecessary disambiguation --Relisted.Chase (talk / contribs) 22:18, 21 March 2015 (UTC) Joeykai (talk) 19:10, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, There is no reason to let there be any confusion with the self-designated "professional wrestlers" who, for some reason, are disambiguated with (wrestler) in Wikipedia. I do not think that those in genuine competition should be confused with those that aren't. The point of disambiguation should be to clarify description. GregKaye 21:34, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The handle "(wrestler)" does not imply either a professional or amateur wrestler type. There are no professional wrestlers called Barry Davis so therefore no source for confusion. The only people this may confuse are seasoned editors who have stumbled across an amateur wrestler article with no connections to professional wrestling who wish to intuit what type of wrestler the man is not by the article content but by the disambiguation handle. I don't think we have accommodate for such people. Nor is it true that professional wrestling has a monopoly on what constitutes a "wrestler" (see Olympic category).
