Wine auction
[edit]Not worthy of mention in the main article, but perhaps of interest to a researcher, might be an auction by Christie’s on 29 July 1941:
- Owing to the destruction of Messrs. Christie’s premises in King Street where it had been arranged that the Sale should take place, Messrs. W. & T. Restell by the courtesy of Messrs. Christie will hold the Red Cross Wine, Spirit and Cigar Sale at Derby House
Lots 23 to 26, “Presented by The Lord Fisher, Thetford” totalled 13 dozen “A. J. da Silva’s Quinta do Noval” “—Vintage 1931 Bottled in 1933”. JDAWiseman (talk) 22:03, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
