Proposed merger with the Fullwell Cross article
[edit]There seems little value in a separate articles for Fullwell Cross and Barkingside; it seems more accurate to describe FC as a road junction in Barkingside than as a district. I suggest merging FC article into the Barkingside article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlasdairDaw (talk • contribs) 17:49, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Railway Station
[edit]Wikipedia's annoying and and anachronistic insistence on calling (all) London Underground stations "tube" stations and not counting them as railway stations here comes to the fore. Barkingside was first a GER station and then an LNER one at grouping. In 1948 services were transferred to LU, but it was still the same Edwardian railway station.
Also we have the "nearest Underground station" sentence which, given W/Ps distinction, implies that there should be a nearest railway station too, whereas logically Barkingside Station is a railway station, just not a National Rail one. 82.45.172.71 (talk) 15:30, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
