Barking or Dagenham?

People may be amused to read that Barking FC plays in Dagenham: Mayesbrook Park is in the post town of Dagenham, but in the (pre 1965) Municipal Borough of Barking (and Barking Parliamentary Constituency). W/P seems content to refer to 'Dagenham' as if this were clear/unequivocal, but the geography is in fact somewhat complicated. W/P doesn't generally seem to resort to postal geography when describing where things are - at least not without being specific. It seems to me that W/P should say that Mayesbrook Park is in (The London Borough of) Barking-&-Dagenham. 82.45.172.71 (talk) 18:21, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
