DGG, I'm pretty useless on what appears borderline academic notability outside of philosophy, history of religion, and some related topics. Anytime I see an associate professor who has an article written somewhat like a speaker bio, though, it sends up red flags for me. A PROF check would be appreciated here. Yes, it's a promotional biography. It readsas if it werecopied from somewhere, for it is not written like a WP article, but I cannot find the source. However, she is probably notable under WP:PROF asan authority in her subject, having written one very important book , The archaeology of ethnogenesis : race and sexuality in San Francisco U Calif Press 2008, rev.ed. Univ. of florida Press ,2015, and been an editor and major contributor to several others , The Archaeology of Colonialism: Intimate Encounters and Sexual Effects. Cambridge University Press, Cambridge. ; Archaeologies of Sexuality. Routledge, London ; and "The Archaeology of Chinese Immigrant and Chinese American Communities." Thematic issue of Historical Archaeology 42(3). (from her CV, [1]by Barbara L Voss ; all with high citations for the subject in Google Scholar.
Most, but not all, AfDs about Associate professors have concluded not yet notable. But UC Berkeley is one of the most famous anthropology departments in the world, and my personal view is that an associate professor there might be as prestigious as a full professor elsewhere.
