Minerology
[edit]@David Eppstein: No, I corrected the spelling without looking at the sources, as I thought it unlikely that a respected university such as Leeds would get the spelling wrong. The ORCID record states that this department name was supplied by Kitchenham herself, so it could be her typo. But after trying various web searches, I think the actual name of the department was the "Department of Mining and Mineral Engineering" (DuckDuckGo search). I'll leave it up to you - with the name marked as {{Not a typo}} I won't be tempted to edit it the next time I check for this misspelling. -- John of Reading (talk) 18:25, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that looks like the correct name of the department. Before undoing your edit I tried searching for both spellings of "mining and mineralogy" and didn't find much to convince me either way. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:47, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
